Camp Rotary ~ Rotary Club ~ Camp Fund Drive ~ Camp Schedule

The Great Falls Rotary Foundation, Inc. operates Camp Rotary outside of Monarch,
Montana on the oldest US Forest Service lease in the country.
The site is adjacent to US Highway 89 and Belt Creek about 5 miles south of Monarch.

Camp Rotary is presently in the midst of a six phase improvement project:

Phase 1, competed in 2004 included water, septic, fencing and roofing improvements valued at
$64,746 and was completed with 420 volunteer hours.
Phase 2, completed in 2005, and included construction of the Centennial Pavilion, a 1500 square foot
outdoor covered arena at cost of more than $70,000 and included 900 hours volunteered by Rotarians.
Phase 3 is to complete a handicapped accessible Bath House for the camp. This project is estimated to
take $220,000 to complete and will require 300 hours of donated labor.
The bath house is currently under construction and will be completed in 2009.
Phases 4 through 6, include rehabilitating the lodge, updating the sleeping cabins, and recreation
areas. These are planned from 2009-2012 and will be dependent on future fund raising and grant
  writing efforts.

The Great Falls Rotary Foundation and Club are committed to seeing the entire project through to fruition as evidenced by their over 91 year commitment to Camp Rotary and the youth of Montana.
Preliminary costs for the future improvement phases are close to $1 million.  Rotary members and businesses have begun to make donations and 3 year pledges towards the completion of these projects.  Proceeds from the annual Harvest Howl for Camp Rotary are dedicated to the Camp Improvement Fund and grants from outside funding sources are also being pursued.  Donations are welcomed!  Especially from individuals having fond memories of their life changing experiences while attending Camp Rotary!

Tax deductible contributions to the 501(c)3 organization, can be mailed to
The Great Falls Rotary Foundation, P O Box 1551, Great Falls, MT 59403.
